Stuff happens on weekends

I went to an exhibition opening last Friday.
If your in Brisbane go check it out before it finishes on saturday.
Exotica Brisbane Local Arts Collective exhibition including sculpture, film, costume, paintings, photography, data projection, drawing, jewellery and more. Accompanied by live acoustic music. CBD Gallery, Elizabeth St, Brisbane. Until Aug 26.
I fell in love with this painting while I was there and the price was really good for an original work. Since it's partner was sold I thought, if I dont buy it right now, then I'm going to regret it and it will be gone by the end of the week.
THEN I discovered who the artist was...
My absolute favourite zombie from the Zombie March a few months ago. That was it, I had to have it. He said he's done the zombie thing a few times now but confirmed he was not, in fact, a proffesional zombie. I have no idea where I'm going to put this thing, I'm basicly squatting in my friends basement here.
The night after that I went to a doof hidden out around Mt Mee. My first bush doof was really quite fun and I knew a lot more people there than I expected. I'll definately be going again. There was four dj's and even though I know next to nothing about Psi-Trance I could easily get into it.
The next morning was quite drama filled and I ended up driving around like a mad-thing for hours. I managed to make it in the nick of time to pick up my guests for the night. Thats the first people to visit me here in the 7 weeks since I've moved, so I was quite excited. We looked at beaches, undersea creatures, my uni, the local pubs, the abundance of trees, the mountains, drunks, cocktails, the shops, the cafes, the pokies, the restraunts, my little basement and a waterfall. Overall we packed quite a lot in under 48 hours and I miss them already!
I have a big essay due next monday so I intend to have a quieter weekend.
I'm working on a new website, for this blog to have a proper home
It should be moving there in the coming weeks, stay posted for more news!
