The Course

SO!
The long anticipated course.
How was it? Well, I shall tell you, I even have pictures. Im such a pro blogger, I can hear then polishing up my webby allready.
First, the Campus is on top of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, they run along the Brisbane river and must be the most abseiled/climbed cliffs in the entire city and surrounds. The view from up there is just stunning.
I wasnt stunned but Ive seen them many times before, I did however, go in an hour early each morning so I could go for a nice long walk along the cliff tops and then explore the little back streets around the place. For a whole week my daily walk was a hell of a lot more pretty and exotic. Taking in that view each morning was a great way to kick off the day.
The campus itself is pretty depressing. Maybe it was just that the semester is over and there was no other students around. It was like a ghost campus. The buildings were also just old and a bit dodgy, really dated and a bit broken in places.
Check out where we ate our lunches.
isnt it charming?

This is the building I spent all my time in.

The Jewellery workshop is on the top floor.
I said before I wasnt stunned by the view, I half lied. I wasnt stunned by the view from the cliff tops but I was truely stunned by the view from the top of that building. Its right on the bend in the river and you could see so much.
Heres a panorama taken out the dunny window.
Just look at that!
If you want, I can put a high res version up here.
So now onto the actual course.
The days were split in two, theory in the morning and practical from 11.
Theory consisted on talking about the industry and how apprenticeships and the courses work, then moving onto drawing and some attempts at Technical drawing.
Ill go into that in PART TWO
