A Happy Hogswatch

Christmas day for me this year was nice and relaxing but also pretty dull.
I worked all day Christmas eve and then went to Nicelbot's place and got plastered that night. That was a pretty fun evening and I apparently looked very pretty. *blush* So I woke up there and made my way home to finish wrapping gifts before heading to the festivities. The drive home seemed really long and the roads eerily quiet. I kept expecting to see kids running around with their new toys but everyone must have got console games or something. Kids these days....*mumble grumble*
Once home I made my favourite fancy salad of the moment and arranged a cheese and dips platter. I started piling up the stuff I needed to take just outside the back door, maybe the smell of the food lured it but at one point I looked out the door and a kitten appeared, had a sniff and around and proceeded to march into the house. It saw me staring dumbfounded at it and pissbolted back out the door. God that made me laugh. It looked so sure if itself when it marched in.
Then it was off to my parents place for a BBQ after which we slept and watched Monty Python and The Hogfather for many hours.
That pretty much sums up the whole day. I asked for money because I'm in some serious debt so I was very glad to receive it but at the same time it makes for a pretty boring Christmas day. So yesterday I bought a copy of "Dalek I loved you" as a gift to myself.
I managed to stick to my pledge of only giving handmade gifts this year. Everything has been either made by me, or bought from an Etsy seller.
