Lucubration Station

Australia day makes me contemplate what I abhor about Australia more than what I adore. It might seem like a strange twist until you realise that that it's Australia Day itself which brings out the most horrible.
Its possible to be loud and drunk without being a Tool. That particularly anti-social aggressive, out of line and pointless idiotic behaviour that seems to rear its head when there is drinking involved. For some reason people seem to associate that behaviour with "australian-ness" and so feel like its their duty to act like tools around Australia Day.

The bogan, nationalistic, racist flag waving tool isn't what I celebrate on Australia day, its very much the opposite.
If you think thats what being a true blue Aussie is all about, fuck off, your a disgrace to the country you claim to hold so dear.
