Ive been a bit too sad to let the cat posts disappear down the page but the time has come.
Time for some updates on stuff
and things

Went and saw Juno friday night, I really enjoyed it.
As someone else said, I thought I was going to LOVE IT, it sounded like a movie I could really get into. I did like it, a lot, and I want to see it again and will buy the dvd and all that, but I wasn't obsessively in love with it. The script was tight and the acting was great. Go see it.

Saturday was Geordier's Birthday party. You can read all about it on his or Zac's blog. I had a really good time but hadn't been feeling well from the start, so when they announced they were heading to the place in Brisbane I dread the absolute most... I headed home.

Ive been to a couple of concerts already this year.
The National

Bogan pulls my hair spills his drink on me, talks shit about me loudly because he thinks earplugs = earmuffs and repeatedly tries to steal my camera but I still somehow enjoyed this show.

Yeo and the Fresh Goods, Sirinival

Worst photography conditions ever.
Friends band is suprisingly great.
Yeo is gonna be a rockstar, this is a 100% solid gold prediction.

That 1 Guy

Fantastic as usual!
Got to meet him before the show OMG SQUEEE
Bogans nearly ruin the show, danced my big butt in their faces regardless.

Apex Null

I got to use a fancy DSLR at this show and Im still dying to see the pics. This is one of the two or three I took on my own cam.

Battles

It is so fascinating seeing them create their music live. I was a bit overwhelmed by the awesome.

Upcoming Shows: Lord Byron on Friday, That 1 Guy again in February.

Despite getting last minute offers to sell me tickets, I decided not to go to BDO. Which I thought I would regret tremendously but I'm actually really glad. As I'm about to explain Ive been sick for about a week and if I had actually gone I know Sunday would have been one of the worst days of my life.

I came down with some kind of Gastro bug last Monday. I spent almost the whole day on the toilet and it was the exact opposite of fun. I was feeling much better by the next day, figured I'd eaten some bad food and now it was out of my system I was on the mend. However my stomach continued to be delicate, gurgling and being quite audible about that whole digestion thing. I felt really weak and slowly started getting worse as the week progressed. Sunday I was back where I started, on the toilet for an entire day, feeling nauseous, exhausted and on the verge of crying. Could you imagine being like that at Big Day Out? It would be more than traumatic. Just going to a BDO toilet regularly is traumatic.
I slept nearly all day yesterday and actually felt like myself again when I woke up. It felt like Id turned a major corner.
I wake up this morning and while crying and reading about Heath Ledger notice some itchy spots on my wrist, hey they are also in my elbow, hang on there are little spots all down the inside of my arm *rips off shirt* OMG my entire right side!
It wasn't a nasty looking rash, it was just disturbing because it was there and itchy.
FUCK
I look like a leper
FUCK
So I called the doctor and they were too busy to fit me in, until I said the word "rash" and suddenly I have a midday appointment.
Unknown to me, someone says the word "Meningococcal" to my mum and she starts sweating bullets.
Oh no, it was nothing that serious but mums like to over-react and it made me laugh later.
So after sitting in the waiting room for for a while, and then sitting at the chemist for a while, I'm now on antibiotics.
Which means no drinking
Saturday is Australia Day
NO DRINKING
Ugh
and then Sunday Ive organized a pissup at my place
NO DRINKING
talk about bad timing.
Such bad timing, but, as Rachii points out my body is in need of a serious break and I should finally take proper heed.

I'm really considering saving up to buy an Asus Eee Pc which is part of a new class of Sub-Notebooks. Considering I'm also suffering from a case of EXTREME DEBT its a pretty ridiculous notion. I'm still going to dream about Techy goodness regardless.
So shut up.
Ive lusted after other peoples laptops and whenever I get to use one I feel so ridiculously backwards returning to my PC.
When I actually look at it, I don't have a need for a laptop. The work that I do on my computer isn't the kind you want to be seated at a desk with plenty of peripherals and a large screen. You don't edit photos of a notebook.
What I would use one for is internet based things, chatting, browsing and word processing. I cant afford to fork out the kind of money required for a glorified portable web browser.
UNTIL NOW
The most awesome thing about the Eee Pc's is their price
$500 Australian.
Thats something I could actually achieve.

Secondly check out their size

Its not much bigger than my DS lite. Which means its fucking tiny.

We can currently only get Black or White coloured ones in Australia if we had a choice Id be getting the green.

Something else that gets me excited is that they are built on Flash based memory. Which means there are no moving parts to destroy. So It wont break after being dropped once. With my clumsiness record thats a huge selling point.
They sold out in Australia before Christmas with Myer as the sole distributor. They announced last week that all the major chains now carry them and a new shipment has arrived.

For now I rub my hands and place a dollar coin in the piggy bank.

I hope this makes up for my extended blogging absence.
Now I'm back with a vengeance.
