My weekend and my morning

I really want to go check out the Curvy Exhibition
Anyone else interested in a trip down the coast? It looks absolutely magical.

So my radical night I was looking forward too didn't turn out as hoped.
We missed half of Dylan Moran and the party I intended to go to was canceled. Instead I went to a random party elsewhere not really know anyone and was way too sober to be comfortable around such cool people. There was an amazing jam session going on the house, instruments being passed from one person to another, people joining in and singing, dancing and clapping. It was really impressive and reminded me of Woodford.
Sometime in the evening I told someone I had feelings for them and learnt it was not mutual. It was quite upsetting despite my attempts to prepare myself for that conclusion.
Emo-ville here I come!

I was an hour late for work this morning
I'd left the house and was driving along one of the roads I always take to work , its long and straight with some hills. After cresting one of those hills I was startled as a cat darting out onto the road in front of me. I hit the brakes and turned towards the footpath to avoid the cat and oncoming cars, thats when I discovered the reason for the cats journey into morning traffic, the dog that was pursuing it also ran out onto the road. Id wiped off enough speed that as I made contact with the dog it was more of a bump. I pulled over and went after the dog to make sure it was alright and it seemed to be. At the same time Id made contact with the dog the cat had been hit by a car on the other side of the road. When I came back from looking at the dog, I could see that the other car had driven off, he just got out and checked the car for damage then went on his way. I could see that it was dead before I got across the road, he'd left it on the grass of the footpath, or maybe thats where it had landed on its own. The body wasn't mangled but it was lifeless and lay unnaturally. It looked young and female, a tabby a bit older than a kitten, there was an indent in the fur but no collar. I didnt know what to do, as i looked at the cat I switched out of 'getting things done' mode and the shock and horror hit me. One of my greatest fears (I had nightmares) was this very thing happening to my own cat. The other car was gone, the dog was gone, a steady stream of cars drove past and I just didnt know what to do. I sat down and cried.
I went back to my car and realised I needed to get to work, once seated in the car I had a full blown panic attack. I ended up back out of the car, crying on the footpath. After some time a car pulled over and a middle aged lady, probably a mother, checked to see if I was okay. She had a look at the cat and called the council, who put her onto a local vet. The council would come to collect the cat and would then take it to the vet to be checked for microchips. She gave me some water and then continued on her way to work. I got back in the car and did the same.
I still cant get its image out of my mind

Not a good start to the week...I hope the rest turns out ok... :)

I live on Rode Road in Wavell Heights and often have to turn around to make sure the garage shut properly as I am paranoid my dogs will venture into oncoming traffic.
