A mixed up update
9:58 AM Edit This 2 Comments »Made some more changes here, removed that dumb emote widget it was so buggy it was crazy and really couldn't cater for the spectrum of my emotions, it only had about 12 options!
Ive beefed up the Twitter one instead, now it shows my previous three tweets. The most current one will also update as my Facebook status and show up on my Myspace too.
I'm OH SO WEB 2.0 right now
Changed my profile picture to a painting I am currently in love with by Brian Despain called The Stranger. Cant wait till he does a book.
The Wists, Internet Wishlist application was considerably slowing down the page loading time, so Its now a static thing rather than scrolling. You can see the last three things Ive added, just click to access the whole list and learn more about that particular item.
While I was at it I did a spring clean of my facebook and removed nearly all the applications and groups. I know it will build up again overtime but now its looking pretty sleek.
Now, onto the bloggage
In keeping with the latest trend of posting my damaged body parts
Check out my dancing blister! WEEOOOOO
(thats a blister from dancing, not a blister that dances. eww! you sick fucks)
Ive been to a couple of Lord Byron gigs of late and continue to be impressed by the bands improvement. Its exciting watching it all come together. The first gig was complicated by the fact the lead singer contracted food poisoning hours before they were supposed to play. I really thought he was gonna hurl on stage or have to make the dash offstage mid-performance but he battled through it and managed to complete the whole set.
Ive discovered a threadless like site with a much higher design skill level to it called Design by Humans These are my three favourites:
The shirts are all made extra long which is fantastic news for us people with with big boobs and tummies that affect how our shirts sit. They are also just damn cool.
I went to a couple of late halloween parties and wore nearly the exactly the same outfit. Not dressed up as anything in particular, just used it as an excuse to get dressed up and wear new clothes. The most impressive outfit at either party was the host of one who dressed up as Pan and hand built his own stilts to have the back angle on the legs. It was whole new levels of dangerous but really impressive to look at.
I went and saw 30 Days of Night
I've been hanging out for this movie, both excited and very very scared. Its my favourite Graphic Novel as much for its visual style as for its story. Im such a fangirl I read the artists blog daily. So when I heard it was being made with JOSH PISSFACE HARTNET in the starring role my heart dropped but then I heard Sam Raimi was producing and David Slade, who did such amazing things with Hard Candy was directing, it rose again. So after asking. I swear, everyone Ive ever met if they would go see it with me, and they all reacted like I was stupid, I eventually found a willing pair and my stomach twisted into knots as we went in. *please dont fuck it up please dont fuck it up PLEASEDONTFUCKIT UP*
Im pleased to report they didnt fuck it up
Im very happy with the adaptation
Im over the moon with how it looks and how the vampires in particular were translated to the screen. Its brutal in parts and thats how it should have been done.
If your a fan of vampire or zombie movies, check it out
If you were a fan of 28 days later, check it out
and if you a fan of the novel, its okay, you can go check it out
Ive got some new things to go onsale in the store this week,; happy sun and sad cloud badges, mushroom pendants and A ROBOT IN SPACE
stay tuned
