Pate

Im afraid Ive been putting off blogging so I could finish writting about the course in detail, and as you may have noticed it just hasnt happened.

So heres a quick updates on all the happenings that arent Course related.

My cat got sick.

If you havent been introduced, her name is Pate Biscuit and she's 15 years old.

she looks like this

She waltzed into our lives after the family previous cat died after being attacked by a neighbours dog in our backyard. That particular neighbour never bothered to walk his dog, just opened up the front gate and let it roam around free when it got too distressed. We were at a dinner at a friend of the familys place and this kitten kept walking in the back door and climbing in the window looking for food. We worked out she had been abandoned and ended up taking her home till we could find the owner, which we never did.

Shes the loudest most obnoxiously vocal cat you will ever meet.

When your alone in the house she will follow you from room to room, keeping you company.

She's always been pretty football shaped.

I taught her to sit up on her back legs and beg for food.

She's given us years and years of entertainment and drama.

I love that cat, she's one of a kind.

In the last month she's; lost half her bodyweight, started to smell weird, scabs appearing on her head, drinking and demanding lots and lots of water and many other odd small behaviours and complaints.

Something was very wrong.

Our guess was feline diabetes

So we finally took her to the vet.

He tested her for everything he could, using all the various bodily fluids he could get.
She's doing pretty well for her age really, kidney and liver all good.
Signs of a thyroid problem
and more importantly, Aneamic, caused by an extremely bad case of fleas.
FLEAS
ANEAMIC
WHAT THE FUCK
I cant believe mum let it get that bad, and that the fleas didn't affect her in the house as well.
The vet gave her a few injections and she was on a course of tablets for a week and seems to be on the mend now.
Eating like a little piggie again.
