and right now its raining BILLS.
Centerlink have just sent me a bill for over 2000 dollars and also the information that I'm as of now, too old for Youth Allowance and wont be receiving any more payments. The bill is because I dropped back to two subjects last semester when the university dicked me around while I waited for credit. (which I still haven't received) So I was no longer entitled to payments.
However, I informed them of my enrollment change and I continued to receive payments, its only now the new year is beginning they have checked and found the mistake. So I have to pay it back, all of it, in a fortnight. Naturally I'd have all the money I was given to live off, just lying around. *rolls eyes*
This happened to me once before a few years ago. I dropped back to two subjects I informed centerlink and my payments changed. However, they didn't change enough and I was sent a bill months later. I disputed it and went through the proper process. The decision was found in my favor, yes it was their mistake, yes I had done everything correctly however, it was still money I wasn't entitled to, so I still had to pay it back.
I'm certain the outcome would be the same if I disputed it this time.
This means a couple of things, even if I arrange a friendly payback plan, Im not making enough money to cover repayments of all my debts and live and eat each week. I only earn $200 - $300 a week and the shop just cant afford for me to do many more hours. So I need another source of income, time to find a second job or a full time job. I hate being in debt, I want to get out of it as soon as possible. I dont think I can really work two jobs and study full time, or even part time. Especially since it takes me an hour to get to the campus and another hour to get back.
I'll be re-doing my resume and portfolio over the next few days.
Wish me luck.

Good luck <3
Good luck! $200-$300 a week is very difficult to live on, let alone service a $2000 debt. Centrelink suck.
good luck!
